After 25 Years, Divya Bharti’s Death Still Remains a Mystery

Bollywood was gifted with amazing talent during the 90’s with a bag full of surprise talents emerging within the industry. One such talent was Divya Bharti.

Divya Bharti belonged to the league of the few actors who set off their career at a very tender age. She first appeared on screen in the year 1990, at the age of 16 when she was casted in a Telugu movie, ‘Bobbili Raja’.

She is remembered for her invincible performances in commercially successful motion pictures like Shola aur Shabnam, Vishawtma, Dil Aashna hai and Deewana. Her soaring and glorious career however faced an abrupt end owing to her mysterious death at the age of 19.

Divya Bharti’s death is still a mystery, some people think of it as a suicide, some as a murder. But the incident is still unsolved case and mystery.

#1. Suicide or Murder?

It was April 5, 1993. She too her last breathe, as she fell down from fifth floor from Tulsi Apartment in Versova Mumbai. It was the day when she signed a deal for a new apartment and discussing things with her designer friend Neeta Lulla and her husband Dr. Shyam Lulla. According to reports, she went to kitchen and fall down from the window which had no grills. She was taken to the hospital but of no use.

The Mumbai police failed to gather evidences behind the reason of her death and eventually the case was closed in the year 1998.

#2. Her final moments

Divya Bharti’s living room did not have any balcony but had an open window. She climbed over it and tried to rested on it. It was an attempt when she tried to turn around to get proper hold of the window frame that she slipped off and fell straight on to the concrete on the ground.

She founded with blood. Though she had breathe and people tried to save her by taking to the emergency department of Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, but of no use. She left her last breathe in the hospital.

Though Divya Bharti is not with us today, we still memorize her charm and her remarkable career.
