Highest paid Indian celebrities – Top 100, Forbes 2017
Forbes released the Highest paid Indian celebrities for the year 2017. Salman Khan, despite of Tubelight flop, topped the list for the successive second year with an earnings of Rs 232.83 crore.
The 2017 Forbes India celebrity list of 100 are based on estimates of earnings in entertainment category. The period under consideration was October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017.
Salman Bhai has once again occupied the top place in Forbes India Celebrity 2017 list for successive second year. Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan and Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli ranked second and third spots respectively.
Priyanka Chopra is the only actress who made it in Top 10 list.
Shah Rukh Khan earning is Rs 170.5 crore, while Virat Kohli made it to Rs 100.72 crore, with two and three spots respectively. The list have remained constant.

Over the years this list has established itself as the definitive benchmark of who’s making what in the entire entertainment world.”
“This year’s Highest paid Indian celebrities list is based on a revised methodology focusing on the celebrities’ earnings, thus reflecting in better representation and hence a well-rounded Celebrity list of 100.”
There are 13 actors from the South in highest paid Indian celebrities list this year as against 11 last year. The number of Bollywood actors is down from 35 to 33.
Shuttler PV Sindhu (Rs 57.25 crore) was the highest money gainer in percentage terms, as her total earnings increased by 17 times compared to last year, boosted with multiple brand endorsements after her Silver medal in 2016 Rio Olympics. There is one woman in top 10, Priyanka Chopra, as she continued to make her mark globally.
