BCCI Announces New Contract System For 2018 Indian Cricket Team Players

A new category (A+) is introduced for Team India Men and (C) for Team India Women. As a part of this new decision, the board has increased 200% hike for domestic cricket players.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) for BCCI on Wednesday announced the Annual Player Contracts for the period from October 2017 to September 2018. The CoA was of the view that the performance and position of Indian Cricket needs to be recognised with the fee structure comparable to the best in the world.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) has announced a new contract system for both men and women’s senior national players for the period from October 2017 to September 2018.

For senior men’s team, a new A+ category has been introduced. Earlier Grade A players were paid the highest of 2 cr. 

Here is the new contract system for Team India Senior Men:

#1. Introduction of new category: A+

#2. Fee structure

Grade A+ players:

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jaspri Bumrah

Grade A players:

Ravichandran Ashwin, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Murali Vijay, Cheteswar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha

Grade B players:

KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik pandya, Ishant sharma, Dinesh Karthik

Grade C players

Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Karun Nair, Parthiv Patel and Jayant Yadav

Surprisingly Mohammed shami is not a part of the any annual contract list released by the board.

Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Harmanpreet kaur, Smrithi Mandhana

Grade B players:

Poonam Yadav, Veda Krishnamurthy, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Ekta Bisht, Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma

Grade C players: 

Mansi Joshi, Anuja Patil, Mona Meshram, Nuzhat Parveen, Sushma Verma, Punam Raut, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pooja Vastrakar, Taniya Bhatia
