To name a few, bloggers like Anil Agarwal, Harsh Agarwal, Ankit Singla, etc are making their living from their full-time blogging. Obviously, people are getting enough inspiration to start their own blog to make money.
To sound more authentic, here are the monthly income reports of a few top bloggers (2019):

Moreover, you can just start a blog for just $35.

Before you make your mind for blogging as a career, make sure you read this article till the end.
Maybe a decade ago, blogging was like maintaining a basic website to share their daily stuff or talk more about their hobbies.
Now, it is not. It is much like a revenue source, be it full time or side hustle.
Although people are making huge money from blogging, the question is – Should you start a blog to make your living?
Will blogging gonna be the right career choice for you?
Here are some questions you should ask yourself before you start:
- Are you open to learn new things and implement them?
- Have got never give up, being a helpful, generous attitude?
- Passion to write, listen to people?
You don’t have to be an SEO master, excellent writer or some kind of celebrity to build a successful blog.
If you feel like you have the above-mentioned qualities then you are good to go.
Everything falls in a place once you step on and keen to learn.
You take any successful blogger today, they have at least one quality out of these:
- Either they are serious about money-making from the blog
- Or passionate about it
I have started my part-time blogging in the year 2015. Since then I have made so many mistakes and still, I am recovering from those.
As I said, writing content and doing SEO are essential practices to build a successful blog. It takes time and your attitude to learn.
It is not easy, and at the same time, it is not difficult too.
Apart from this, here are some key qualities you should possess to get succeed in the blogging career:
- No matter how bad your English is, Just start writing, eventually it will develop.
- Develop relationships with fellow bloggers.
- Help other bloggers – one day it will come back to you.
- Don’t fear to work on your ideas.
- Be open to asking help if you don’t know something.
- Blogging is not a one-night miracle or some easy money making source, you need to work hard and keep patience till you see the results.
- You don’t have to always please the search engines with your content and keywords. You must only focus on making the reader happy with your content.
Nothing sails smooth; Be it a job, business or blogging. Just give your best!
How to convince family?
I don’t know about other countries but in India, blogging is still not a healthy career choice for most of the parents.
Yep! Because, it is not that popular like Engineering or MBA jobs.
If you believe in yourself and wanted to make a career in blogging, it will be the first success for you to talk to your parents about it and convince them.
Give them a brief look at what is blogging, how people are blogging, income figures, how you are going to do.
Full time or Part-time blogging?
Well, most of the parents may not agree with you to choose full time blogging as a career.
In that case, it is advisable to put blogging as a part-time job.
Give it 2-3 hours a day and see how it goes.
Once you start making some income, you can just quit your regular job to work on your blog.
If you are financially stable then you are good to start a full-time blog.
How much you can make from blogging?
It is hard to answer.
There are bloggers who even make $100,000 a month and few can’t make even $100 a month.
It depends on various factors like niche PPC, monetization method, no. of targeted visitors, trust, etc.
Let me be honest with you. I hardly make money on my blog even after these many years.
Because I made many mistakes in terms of content, niche selection, my mindset towards blogging, etc. However, I started realizing the actual things and now I’m on the right path, I believe.
To put an end to your question, I must say – Hard work always pays off.
You should keep your goals handy to make handsome money every month.
Wrapping it up
Most of us agree that blogging is one of the finest ways to earn a passive income.
And that is one side of the coin.
The other side?
Your hard work, night outs for preparing content, relationship with influencers, keyword selections, ways to bring visitors to your blog, and monetizing it.
It’s not gonna be easy. In fact, no career is easy.
The smarter you work today, the better future you make for yourself tomorrow.
If you think you can do this, Just decide it now.
Don’t keep two ideas at a time in your mind.
One is the best, always.
