Hello there, today in our Bloggers Interview series, We are publishing an interview with Ms. Bareen Aowte, Fashion and Beauty Blogger at BThirteen.
Can you tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a chemistry student who is in love with fashion and beauty. I always love the styling and wanted to be known for my fashion. It’s my dream to bring chemistry and beauty together to make something great out of it.
When and how the blog idea took place?
Writing has been a hobby since a child With my dream to be known in the fashion industry, I found blogging to be a great source to share my style with others. I was shy at first but the response was overwhelming and that’s what keeps me going every day.
How much time do you spend blogging weekly basis?
Being a student, I can’t be a full-time blogger but I do try to give all justice to it!
What is the information that you share with your readers on your blog?
I wanted my blog to be miscellaneous, where people could find what they want. From reviews, styling tips to DIYs and sometimes some motivation too. It’s also a platform for other writers to showcase their writings and articles.
As a blogger, what are the challenges you face? How you pass over them?
Starting off, it was very difficult to get exposure as currently, the blogging industry is quite crowded but by staying true to your content you can overcome anything. Other, which many can agree to is, not being paid for our services. It takes a lot of effort to blog and there are various things that go behind the scene, brands should be ready to spend if they want to be promoted.
Everyone has a favorite blogger by whom they got inspired. Name yours??
My all-time favorite blogger has to be Kritika Khurana A.K.A thatbohogirl. She’s an icon and so real! Love her fashion sense and down to earth nature.
What tools do you use to manage your social media presence and to increase user traffic?
My main motive to increase user traffic is by posting unique content. If your content stands out, you stand out! I also highly believe in engaging with the audience. If you engage with them, they will engage back.
What is the revenue source of your blog?
In the beginning, there was none! Your Content creates an audience which will then follow up with some cash. Monetizing your blog is a way but is not quite helpful for me. Brand collaboration, affiliation have helped me a lot in this journey.
What is the big picture of your platform?
I want my blog to have reviews of the product before the product launches! I want people to find anything they are looking for from fashion to beauty and even inspiration. My Future plan is to start my own brand that everyone will love.
What is your best motivation line that inspires you?
“ Be Kind, work hard, smile often, stay loyal, be Honest, travel when possible and never stop learning.”
Would you encourage other passionate people to start their blog and what would be a few practices you would suggest?
Blogging requires a lot of passion and hard work but do it for yourself! Not for money or free stuff ( which is the new trend among fellow influencers). Be true to your content and also to yourself. Work for your readers, not the brand.
Hope you’ve explored NettyFeed platform, what are your thoughts on it?
I love how NettyFeed is giving exposure to bloggers with also providing great content themselves! It’s a really helpful site to get tips on how to increase social presence and everything you might to get better at it.
