Hi Mayank, Thanks for taking part in this. What is DomestiQue all about?
DomestiQue is a platform for the customer to avail high-Quality Domestic Services such as Beautician, Plumber, Electrician, Photographer, Home cleaner and other seasonal services professional within minimum time and minimum cost.
We are serving households as well as Hostellers.
What was your prime motivation behind starting it?
I usually see people faces problem while finding a good professional at minimum cost and minimum time. Let’s take a case “There is a fault in my air conditioner or I have to get ready for a party or I need a photographer for my child’s birthday or I want to decorate my home during Diwali. So for all these problems I need a trained service professional in minimum time.” Thus our prime motivation was to provide a service professional to the customer’s doorstep as fast as the cab arrives.
How you’d like to differentiate yourself with the competitors?
It is a good thing to have competitors because we get an opportunity to learn from them. Though we have some of them we are different from them as
- We claim to assign a nearest professional available, rather than waiting for the professional to accept the customer’s request.
- We are also targeting colleges/hostels for Beauty care services
In which places DomestiQue is available?
Currently, we are serving in Ghaziabad and Muradnagar with 2-3 categories (Beautician, Photographer & Ac Repair) but we are looking to expand in other cities such as Lucknow and other 2 tier cities within one year.
How do you market your startup?
We distribute pamphlets, involved in marketing campaigns, sponsored events (to promote in colleges/Hostels) and most important for us is SMM.
Tell us about your financial aid to start this venture
Currently, we are Bootstrapping our Business and The money we spent either came from our pocket money or prize won in Business Plan Competitions or by Freelancing.
What motivates you?
Currently, I am pursuing B Tech from KIET GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS and the thought of starting a company during graduation motivates me a lot.
Along with these stories of Founder like Paytm, Ola, Oyo motivates me to be in the Same Queue
Since you’ve not completed your graduation, how do you balance work & study?
All we need to do is to have motivation and perseverance. I have my college from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, after that I used to guide/mentor other students for a startup under a club(Innovation center) and after that me along with my team work for late 3:00 am for DomestiQue. Also when Saturday and Sunday are weekends for other students then we have a full day to work for DomestiQue.
What are your short and long term plans for your startup?
Our Short term plan is cover each and every colleges and locality of Ghaziabad, Meerut, and other 2 tier cities. And our long term Goal is to deploy our services in more than 30 cities all over the country with a vision to provide services in minimum time and minimum cost.
Any piece of advice for entrepreneurs who are just starting out like you?
I want to suggest other Entrepreneurs start your business just when you are in colleges because according to me college is the best time to start.
Here we have more than enough free time and member to work with us. we have more flexibility and stamina than in jobs (after graduation) and one of the most important things is that we are poor in terms of money. Many of us have less money in our pocket when we are in college. So this can teach us how to do a thing or build something in the cheapest way.
