Bloggers want to be influencers but few earn the right to be influential bloggers.
People want all the sweet trappings of being an influential blogger; profits, perks, popularity. Cool. Do you want the sweet? Take a big old taste of the sour. I love to blog SO much. But if bloggers realized how much you need to work for free before becoming an influencer, almost all would quit right now. No joke. Here is how it works; you work for free for about 2000 to 6000 hours of your life by generously helping people. Nobody buys your stuff. Nobody hires you. Why? Nobody knows who you are, yet. You need to keep working for free to EARN THE RIGHT to become an influencer because working for free increases your skills and increases your exposure. Then, and only then, do people, brands and all types of entrepreneurs see you as an influencer, pitching you, buying your stuff, hiring you, asking to interview you, and doing all the sweet stuff we love, blogger newbies and influencers alike.
The work for free period weeds out all bloggers who think like losers; I mean focused on loss, not the insult. Most bloggers think like losers because they do a TINY BIT of work, like, 30 hours, then FOCUS HEAVILY ON HOW LITTLE TRAFFIC THEY GET AND HOW THEY MADE NO MONEY!!! I capitalize these words to dramatize but ya get the effect; bloggers do a little bit, earn no right to be successful, pay zero dues, then panic because they focus their mind on lack, loss, poverty, no results, scarcity, and all the types of fears energetic losers choose to focus on. How in the heck do you expect to become a blogging influencer if you work generously for 40 hours when it takes 2000 hours or more to become a genuine blogging influencer?
The Only Shortcut
Only one shortcut exists to being a blogging influencer in under 2000 hours of generous work; doing freeing, fun, highly terrifying things that scare the living daylights out of top bloggers, even, in most cases. About 0.00001% of bloggers can successfully follow this approach because if I advise you to generously help top influencers for 14 hours daily without asking for anything, every day, for 6 months, 0.00001% of you would NOT make an immediate excuse. Every other blogger makes excuses based on their fears – working a full-time job, not skilled enough, blah, blah, blah – and of course, you need to put in 2000 to 4000 to 6000 hours or more to earn the right to become a blogging influencer.
You earn the right to succeed by working for free when every other blogger panics at their non-existent blogging profits. This trial by blogging fire period weeds out virtually all bloggers, which is why we have so few genuine, dyed in the wool, blogging influencers. Earn the right to influence people by helping people generously, by trusting in yourself and by trusting in the blogging process. Nobody said this journey is easy or comfortable but if you ride out the bumps, and refuse to panic, beautiful blogging success will flow your way. Believe in yourself.
