Could you briefly tell us about the Founders?
Hello Readers, 1st of all I would like to thank NettyFeed for featuring us on their web page.
In 2011, the service wing of SMVA Group by the name of SMVA Consultants was initiated by Mr.Ashish Agarwal and we started offering educational online courses to foreign clients (Institutions and Students). The courses on offer were ERP & non-ERP modules. In 2013, we entered into the Management Consultancy (HR and training domain focused), brainstormed by Mrs.Kshama Agarwal and captained by Mr.Gaurav Agarwal.
How did you come up with the idea? You can share your inspirations.
“Relationship is the core of every business. We at SMVA are always determined to serve the clients through our transparent and quality-focused approach. The inspiration and the need to start each division came through the vacuum of dedicated players in the respective domain we forayed in.
When it comes to our Services domain, we can observe the need for the right manpower everywhere. With the entrepreneurial mindset, our country is experiencing a paradigm shift wherein there is a wave of upcoming startups. So that makes our (Recruit, Train, Retain) model a HIT.
Brief about your startup
SMVA is a 21 years young Group and started its business operation in 1997 with SMVA Traders Private Ltd foraying into the import and export domain In 2011 it moved to the HR and training domain. Till date, we have successfully served 550+ corporate and institutions across 15+ countries.
Who is your Targeted audience?
At SMVA, we are willing to join hands with all the sectors of the Market, but preferably Non – It Sector. This might raise a question in your mind as to why not IT Sector, which comprises 55% of the US$ 173-178 billion markets, well we totally go by these words of a Legend “It is easier to get along with self if we don’t look at ourselves as being incapable of something and rather look at ourselves as being capable.”
Type of strategies do you think are valuable to take the company to the next level?
As per the comfort zone of the delivery team, existing database, we move towards hunting industry wise clients by following ancient method (data mining, lead generation, cold calling, convincing/meeting) and contemporary digital marketing (Facebook, LinkedIn)

As they say, “To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity”. In the same manner, we dedicate all the success we have achieved to our Family, which comprises of –Chanchal Gupta, Diptadeep Mahato, Swati Nag, Shreyashree, Saurav Jana, Geeta, Priyanka Ray, Nipa Sen, Prosenjit, Monika and the list goes on…
What were the key Learnings from your journey?
Being up to date with the technology, fast-changing market trends, economic policies, and Foreign exchange fluctuations pose as major challenges in the EXIM trade. However, in the Service domain, Growing expectations of the companies and/or candidates, also meeting them is a task, but thanks to our Govt.’s “Digital India” Programme due to which we are a well connected World, its super easy to tap clients compared to the last decade.
